Hello friends! Last week, Boye Oloyede took us on an expository journey on why and how we need to mind our attitudes and heartitudes if we want to make any impact in life. You can click http://t.co/JX0kwYmYE4 to read. This week, we proceeded further with Mayokun Oreofe as she tweet chat on the topic: MIND YOUR ASSOCIATION.
Mayokun made us understand that wrong association is a destiny stripper! She went further to implore us to beware of 'unfriendly friends' if we want to be or achieve anything in life. See her compiled tweets below. Do #ReadRestRelaxAndReflect on them.

2 May I start first by getting our attention on the focus of #ListenUp for the month of June, which I have themed C- Caution! #ListenUp
3 This month every topic is on what to MIND - what to give special attention to on our journey of CHANGE #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
4 This evening our subject matter is MIND YOUR ASSOCIATION (with a zero in on "frienemies" #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
5 A scripture comes to mind each time I think ASSOCIATION which is 1Cor.15:33 #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
6 Do not be so deceived & misled! Evil companionship (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners/morals/character. #ListenUp
7 A saying goes: 'show me ur friends and I'll tell U who U are'. Suffice to say, 'birds of the same feather folk together'. #ListenUp
8 If you are like me, you would have loads of friends. I love people. Well I used to brag in the fact that I'm a people's person #ListenUp
9 I realized way into my friendship journey that d problem wasn't having many or few friends but d quality of d friends I had. #ListenUp
10 The danger in relationship is finding yourself in the company of mixed multitudes. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
11 Everyone looks same as it were on the outside but on the inside, it's a different ball game. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
12 King David had many encounters with his friends. Let's look into the two categories of his friends: #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
13 1Sam.18:1> Now when he had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. #ListenUp
14 1Sam.18:3> Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul. #ListenUp
15- Jonathan was a true friend to David....a covenant friend he was. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
16 Loyalty is the color of true friendship. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
17 Prov.17:24> There are "friends" who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
18 A true friend will stand for your course, whatever you believe, they stand by you. You may sometimes disagree but that doesn't affect their commitment to you. #ListenUp
19 However there are the 2nd Category of David's friends: friends who destroy each other (Frienemy). #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
20 Ps.41:6 They visit me as if they were my friends, but all the while they gather gossip...... #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
21Wow! My shock here is- they appeared as his friends but for real they were far from friends, they were enemies. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
22 "Frienemy"(Friend-enemy), therefore is defined as an 'enemy posing as friend' #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
23 What more can be dangerous than this in any relationship? It's like resting on a pillar of thorns. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
24 A "Frienemy" is a Hypocrite. Hypocrite is a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude. #ListenUp
25 As a friend to a Hypocrite, you assume you both are on d same page but alas far from it. A hypocrite (Frienemy) is a Pretender #ListenUp
26a Like David, I've found myself many years ago in such situations of having 'Frienemy' in my boat on the journey of life. #ListenUp
26b I can boldly say to you, having Frienemies is a deadly relationship. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
27 I went everywhere with this 'friend', we ate together and I did all the good within my power to this 'friend'. #ListenUp
28 Wow! I never knew her heart was evil towards me. Every decision I was to take, I shared with her. I call her my up-close and personal. #ListenUp
29 Somewhere along the line, different servants of God at my contact with them will ask 'who is this betrayer around you?' #ListenUp
30a I never believed she could be the one in question hence I'd go back to her and share my experiences... #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
30b Infact most times she was there with me when the revelations were shared. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
31 This continued for a couple of years. However, your way of escape from such trap, is the quality of your heart towards God. #ListenUp
32 Ps.34:7 say 'The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them'. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
33 Isa.26:3> You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
34 If you fear and reverence God in your own life, He will not suffer you to be moved or injured by these unfriendly friends. #ListenUp
35 God revealed to me thru d people we've both related & mingled with d depth of what this 'friend' had done without my knowledge #ListenUp
36 A lot of maligning, digging of pit etc she had done. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
37a But the Lord delivered me as I became sensitive by His grace. He opened my eyes to see many things that cannot be shared here. #ListenUp
37b She had corrupted d minds of others whose destinies were connected to my assignment, till today she's stripped them off d path #ListenUp
38 I took a U-turn drastically but in wisdom. I testify today am free!!! #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
39 You also can become free if you would take heed. Don't be like Samson. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
40 Samson found himself in the trap of a Frienemy. He divulged information that he wasn't supposed to; #ListenUp
41 Samson brought Delilah right on his secret page, and of course in the character of a "Frienemy" she gave him up for evil. #ListenUp
42 Judges16:18a> When Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, #ListenUp
43a Judges.16:19a Then she lulled him to sleep on her knees, and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his head. #ListenUp
43b Judges16:19a contd.. Then she began to torment him, and his strength left him #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
44 If Samson knew outrightly that she was an enemy he would never had put his head on her laps. #ListenUp
45 She disguised/pretended to be a Friend (lover in fact), yet she was an emissary of evil. #ListenUp
45b Wow! May The Lord deliver us from every enemy in friend clothing. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
46 We need the spirit of God to discern evil hanging around us. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
47 A Frienemy will always rub us of destiny if we continue keeping their company. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
48 Amos 3:3 (NKJV)==> Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
49 By the help of the Holy Spirit, you should do a spiritual audit of your relationships par time. #ListenUp
50 Physical agreements is not an indication of spiritual agreement. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
51 You need an audit (deep scrutiny) by the help of God, in order to discern who is for you or against you. #ListenUp
52 Let the Lord expose beyond what physical eyes can see. #ListenUp @kemi_odutayo
53 Singles; don't be unequally yoked. There is unequal yoke even in church. Don't be carried away (deceived) by cute behaviours #ListenUp
54 We all need to be careful in our relationships so we don't find ourselves toying with danger, all in the name of friendship. #ListenUp
55 A 'Frienemy' is an unfriendly friend; and he or she is a DESTINY DRAINER. B-E-W-A-R-E! MIND YOUR ASSOCIATIONS! #ListenUp
