Hello friends! I was hosted on the #AARTalk platform via the @KickAgainstRape handle. The ABUSE AND RAPE TALK PLATFORM is the brainchild of @Bunmi_Sobowale. She is doing a great job with Rape Survivors; giving them hope and encouraging them to move on to be the best God wants them to be!See below a compilation of the tweetcast. I pray you are motivated, empowered, edified, enlightened and inspired reading them as I was tweeting them!
-----------------------------------------------------------
1) I count it a great honor to come and encourage us today on #AARTalk, the brainchild of @Bunmi_Sobowale
2) Today, i will be tweeting on,
"YOU ARE MORE THAN THIS!" This is specifically for all SURVIVORS and everyone life has happened to #AARTalk
3) Oh yeah! Life happens! Bad things do happen to good people and vice versa #AARTalkTough times don't last but tough people do. So, when the going get tough, only tough people gets going #AARTalk
4)We also need to understand that as humans, we are so impt to God that He loves us despite our past #AARTalk
5) Your life is too small (in the scheme of things) to be the whole essence of your being #AARTalk
6) Yeah! Too Small! There is a 'big picture' and YOU are right in the middle of it! #AARTalk
7) YOU are a MATTER that matters! You have WEIGHT and YOU are meant to OCCUPY a space #AARTalk
8) Would you allow your past to cheat you of your future? Granted, when you think of that/those incident(s)...#AARTalk
9) ...you feel the pain/horror/shock all over again. But you know what? #AARTalk
10) You can put a stop to it! No one makes much progress while driving by constantly looking in the rear view mirror #AARTalk
11) No one moves forward walking backwards without tripping over one thing or the other #ARRTalk
12) YOU ARE MORE THAN THIS! There is more to you than meet the eye! You are destined for greatness!
#AARTalk
13) God wants to turn your mess into a message, your trials/tests into testimonies for the world to see #AARTalk
14) People can call you anything they like but you don't have to answer to whatever labels...#ARRTalk
15) ...they are trying to stick on you! Be it your parents, your siblings, cranky colleagues, friends or nosy neighbours etc #AARTalk
16) You are who God says you are! You are a child of destiny, strength and favour! Seeds of greatness! #AARTalk
17) Guess what? The devil knows these too! He puts negative labels on you to frustrate you...#AARTalk
18) He wants to prevent you from reaching your highest potential. He wants to prevent you from being your best! #AARTalk
19) He doesn't want you to reach your 'destination' & that's why he tries to discourage, intimidate&make you feel inferior #AARTalk
20)Yeah! I get it! Getting rid of negative feelings and labels is like peeling off stickers that has been on a car for so long #AARTalk
21)So so difficult. Painstakingly so! You might even get your finger-nails ripped off! But very possible! In fact, necessary in this case. #AARTalk
22)Reap off the stickers! Get rid of the negative labels! Refuse to sell yourself short. #AARTalk
23)Again: YOU ARE NOT WHO PEOPLE SAY YOU ARE. YOU ARE NOT EVEN WHAT CIRCUMSTANCE PAINTS YOU TO BE! #AARTalk
24)YOU ARE MORE THAN THESE! YOU ARE WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE! #AARTalk
25)The power those negative labels have on you is the one YOU gave them! Strip them of their power #AARTalk
26)You might even be the one labelling yourself as 'tainted', 'victim', 'damaged', 'useless', 'used', 'not good enough'...#AARTalk
27)Others might call you these too. But guess what? You are NOT what they call you but you are WHAT YOU ANSWER TO #AARTalk
28)Quit thinking like this! Quit believing these negative labels! The real battle is in your mind! Fight to win #AARTalk
29)Put on new labels. Refuse to put on those old labels! God labels you 'strong', 'talented', 'valuable', 'a masterpiece'...#AARTalk
30)Nothing that is spoken over you has to define you! #AARTalk
31)Nothing that happened to you in the past can define who you really are! #AARTalk
32)The difference between a dirty/old and clean/new £100 bill is superficial! The value remains the same! #AARTalk
33)The old bill has probably been squeezed, rumpled, trampled, dirtied etc but its value remains the SAME! #AARTalk
34)You are more than these! You are a SURVIVOR! God designed you exclusively and specifically for your race in life! #AARTalk
35)You have an assignment that only you can fulfill. Would you because of what happened deprive us of your uniqueness? #AARTalk
36)You may feel 'something' died in you the day you were violated but I want to let you know 'it' can come back to life #AARTalk
37)We just celebrated EASTER which is the celebration of the life and death of Jesus. He died&rose again! Awemazing! #AARTalk
38)My Muslim folks also believes 'Anobi Isa'(Jesus) is ALIVE! What am I driving at? #AARTalk
39)There is a power at work in Him - THE RESURRECTION POWER. This is the power that raised Him from the dead #AARTalk
40)BREAKING NEWS: THE RESURRECTION POWER IS AVAILABLE TO YOU TOO! #AARTalk
41)GOOD NEWS: If you trust and believe in Jesus, that resurrection power will be yours and you have a new zeal of life #AARTalk
42)Through Him, you receive the power to 'MOVE ON'! You need that power from within. #AARTalk
43)YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES! I ENJOIN YOU BY THE MERCIES OF GOD, TAKE ALL YOU HAVE & IMPACT YOUR GENERATION! #AARTalk
44)I pray from the depth of my heart that the bondages from your past shall have no effect on you anymore #AARTalk
45)Let the past pass so you won't pass away with the past! YOU ARE MORE THAN THIS! #AARTalk
46)Mind what you say and confess about yourself. Your confessions in the time of confusion is the conclusion of your condition. #AARTalk
47)Words are like seeds. If you dwell well on them, they will germinate.#AARTalk
